Thoughts on Neith

Similar to the netcher Sutekh being synchronized with the greek titan Typhon, Neith has been paired with the greek goddesses Athena and Artemis.

I think the ancient Kemites had a deeper understanding that was hard for those outside of their worldview to interpret. The more I delved into the primary sources and the medu netcher the more I see Neith through an astrophysics lens as the element known as hydrogen. The most abundant and oldest element of our galaxy, found on earth in water, and the source and the fuel of the sun are all the characteristics that parallel descriptions of Neith. The way information was conveyed in most cultures before the advent of the western scientific revolution was done in story-telling that gave life to and personified the ideas and knowledge to make them more accessible. We do a disservice to ancient peoples when we dismiss their stories as make believe instead of true study of their world.
