The illusions and delusions are slowly fading but now we will have to account for our complicity. Since 2014 the challenges we face have been made clear and we have collectively fallen short. Now we must reap. The lessons we should have learned and taken to heart are returning with consequences 10 times heavier. To remain in denial or continue to deflect means certain annihilation. It’s time to own up to our mistakes and be soberminded as we endure.
