Embracing Ubuntu – New Moon

The institutions that have been imposed on the world may have control over an enormous amount of the world’s resources but the greed and desire to control and dominate has destroyed the little legitimacy they had with the global majority.

Identifying with empires, nation-states and abstractions that rely on classifying, categorizing, and fragmenting our reality have led to the degradation of spirit and the denial and rejection of various true experiences.

Many of us continue to operate in systems that we know lack integrity. The constant threat of not having or being enough has shattered our sense of being and led to an acceptance of consumption and greed that distorts what it means to live.
No more making assumptions. We have to stop attributing value to our varied cultures based on systems of oppression. The shallow dichotomies of good or bad, right or wrong are not enough. Consideration of the full context and significance is the best approach to establishing what is valuable. This means taking an accurate and honest look at what we see, hear, and believe even if it shakes our worldview. We must accept what we share and have in common. We have to honor our differences and resist the trap of assimilated sameness that “identity” and “individuality” are. Just BE. Be full and whole.

In the next four weeks we have two eclipses. March 25 is a full moon lunar eclipse and on April 8 there is a new moon solar eclipse. My post on the current series of eclipses: https://kandamaat.com/2023/09/28/africana-sidereal-full-moon-in-pisces-september-29/

Take stock in the past six months and prepare for the next six.

Practice ubuntu and uphold Maat:

Reciprocity – we must not take more than can be given or restored and we must fulfill our true duties, no more and no less.

Respect – for what is perceived and known

Reverence – for what cannot be perceived and the unknowable.

I am because we are – live and let live – one in all and all in one.
